• 1% Revenue to open-source (PostgreSQL, LetsEncrypt)
• 1% Profits to charity (Virlanie.org)
• 1% Products to non-profit organizations (20 licenses)
• 1% Time to discuss entrepreneurship in local schools (but that was for my pleasure).

1% Revenue to open-source: Our choice is entirely arbitrary and subjective. Postgres is a database engine. Its progress has been central to our architecture choices. LetsEncrypt is an initiative that delivers SSL certificates for free. It saves $250 per year for most businesses, propagates the right behavior, and improves security.

1% Profits to charity: Virlanie is the charity who helped Piolo. Piolo is a street child from the Philippines, he joined Virlanie when he was 5 years old, and he’s now employed as a professional graphist. And there’s also Retchel. And Jessah. And Jhon. And 17,000 others.

1% Products to non-profit organizations: Atlassian selects and chooses those organizations and distributes both Atlassian software and vendor add-ons for free to them.
